Capitol Classroom Updates
Dec 10th Update The Holiday season is upon us and soon after is the 2022 Legislative Session. This Holiday season we are thankful for our incredible team of volunteer lobbyists who will be sharing their passion for the democratic process with a brand new class of enthusiastic students – and for their teachers who are true civic heroes! In our 11th year of Capitol Classroom, we have 16 teachers participating, 13 of whom are returning and 19 volunteer lobbyists! Before the legislative session begins, we wanted to highlight our WA Civics module series. These short videos do a great job of covering the foundational concepts of the legislature. We encourage our classes to review them in preparation for meeting with their lobbyists. We are excited to kick off another year of Capitol Classroom with you all!
